Love and Goal
Where love appears goals recede. Yes! Haven't you experienced? I feel where love appears, there love itself is a big goal, challenger, pursuit and experience. Every damn thing revolves around love, aligns with love, starts with love, finishes due to love, completes because of love and exists only for love.
Where goal exists, there is a continuous race with one self. Strategy, focus, determination, stepping stones, achievements, fulfilment, satisfaction, again challenge, pursuit, thrill...... different intoxication, Just like love. Every damn thing is planned around goal, aligns for goal, starts with the goal, finishes due to goal , completes because of goal and exists only for the goal.
Marriage tries to balance by having combination of love and common goals. The happiness, satisfaction remains in marriage if the couple has common goals. Maybe materialistic initially, physical in middle age and spiritual, psychological, emotional in late phase of life. Intoxication of both love and goals together strengthens the bond.. multi-folded.
Life shows us different unions of love and goals.
Say for example, love supports goal, love handholds goal, love is love and goal is goal , love is duty and goal is deity, and spontaneous infectious love...then what exactly is goal for this type of union? Let's find out..
Phase or union where love supports goals, it's a booster, motivating support that makes you capable to take off towards your goals. Every doubt shades with this support. You can't even understand suddenly when your flight already took off effortlessly.. leaving the ground that was once holding you behind.
When love hand holds goal.. Here you feel journey towards your common goal. Teaming up, understanding, respect, discussion, mutual boosting, correction of paths, analysis, brainstorming, enjoying burnouts and gearing up again together till your plane finally lands on success every time for each goal. Magical journey isn't it ?
When love is love and goal is a goal, it's a tossing and balancing between activities. Yes! Activities! in reality there is neither a goal and nor any love. Nothing feels you passionate. So it's a ritual not obsession. Yes, I feel obsession is indeed important for anything to thrive in your life.
When love is duty and goal is deity; you are worshipping your goal and neglecting love. Both is unhealthy. Goal is a tool to move forward in your journey. It's not enslavement or blind attachment. Even if I earlier said obsession is important; it's obsession about progress.. be it in love or for the goal.
And last but not least.. Love is spontaneous and infectious ....why ? How can it be ? May be as goal is none-other than you yourself? Or journey towards every goal is spontaneous as love in the form of self- love is present. So there is no ambiguity on priorities. And every damn thing revolves around you, planned for you, aligns with you, starts from you, finishes due to you, completes because of you and exists only for you. You yourself are the challenger, the pursuit and the experience too.
The continuous race is with you. Strategy, focus, determination, stepping stones, achievements everything is you. Fulfilment, satisfaction, again challenge, pursuit, thrill everything is for non other than you yourself.
Is the journey lifelong a travel towards this spontaneous love, infectious love? One minute, one minute. Spontaneous is ok.. but why am I calling this self-love as infectious ? Have you seen your self-motivated phase? You were so inspiring, passionate. You were literally imparting your energy into everyone. You radiated enthusiasm. Single minute with you could change anyone inside out. What was your secret?
Your pursuit was not outside. Your focus was inward. Your energy source was interior. Your entire journey was for, with and towards yourself. Wasn't it self-love ?
May this self-love bless all of us for every single phase of our life so that everyone emits, radiates and spreads our own unique energy, infectious, spontaneous self-love around.

Your piece isn’t just a poetic reflection. It’s a map — for anyone feeling lost between ambition and affection, between striving and being. In a world fixated on measurable success, your words remind us that the truest journey is inward — to love ourselves, align with our values, and only then reach outward with purpose, compassion, and clarity.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this. It’s a reminder that life isn’t just about ticking checkboxes. It’s about being alive inside – full of love, meaning, and self-driven light.
Thank you 🙏
DeleteIn true love, goals dissolve — yet everything is achieved effortlessly.
ReplyDeleteWhen love is pure and wholehearted, it does not chase, plan, or struggle.
It simply flows.
And in that flow, the strength, clarity, and inspiration that arise naturally lead to growth, progress, and fulfilment—even without consciously setting a goal.
True love becomes the energy that moves life forward on its own.
What goals try to force, love makes spontaneous.
